The background to the photo is that we went on a canal boat holiday in a narrow boat and it rained constantly.

One day as were meandering along we came across this swan and a couple of her cygnets.

I fed them some bread sticks and as it was still raining we went inside the boat for lunch.

Suddenly I heard this tapping noise and the swan was hitting the window with her beak - it was almost like she was asking us for more food.

I took a few photos and this one came out really well. My wife decided that it would make the perfect splashback for our newly decorated cloakroom.

The image my wife and I chose for our splashback was because, in our retirement, we worked at Skye Silver, a jewellery shop on the Isle of Skye, for 5/6 weeks every summer for 10 years.

This was the view nearby I took of the Macleod Tables, opposite Dunvegan across the loch.

I could hardly believe that I could have my own photograph on a splashback!

On our honeymoon we stayed at Giraffe Manor, Nairobi. We were awestruck by the resident herd of wild giraffes and I took a slightly ‘goofy’ photo of one of them.

The image had trees and sky in the background but the Printed Splashback team kindly removed the background as I wanted it white to match my kitchen.  

The honeymoon was so amazing I wanted something wonderful to remind me of it every day. Now I have an incredibly lovely splashback with an incredibly beautiful giraffe!

We live by the sea, and our photo is of a beautiful peaceful creek nearby that we love to moor in when the tides are right. 

You can watch both the sunset and sunrise over the water - very special!
