Socket Cutout Measuring Guide

By Printed Splashback

To ensure your glass splashback or panel is manufactured with flawless precision, please follow this step-by-step measurement guide.

We require all measurements to be supplied strictly in mm (millimetres).

1. Overall Glass Size

  • Before measuring cutout locations, accurately measure and confirm the total width and total height of your entire glass panel.
  • Always use a high-quality tape measure and ensure all values are recorded cleanly in millimetres (mm).

2. Standard Socket Cutout Dimensions

MEASUREMENT TIP
Single Socket75mm × 75mmIf you are unsure of your back box size, safely isolate the power, slightly loosen the front faceplate, and measure the wall box directly
behind it.
Double Socket135mm x 75mm

3. Measuring Socket Positions

Choose one of the two options below to supply your cutout positions. Option A is highly recommended for maximum precision.

Option A: To the Centre (Preferred)

  • Measure a straight horizontal line from the left edge of the glass to the exact centre of the socket box.
  • Measure a straight vertical line from the bottom edge of the glass to the exact centre of the socket box.

Option B: To the Faceplate (Alternative)

  • Measure from the left edge of the glass to the outside edge of the faceplate, then add 5mm.
  • Measure from the bottom edge of the glass to the bottom edge of the faceplate, then add 5mm.
